Wearable Prints wins 2015 Millia Davenport Award

Jun 3rd, 2015

Wearable Prints, 1760-1860, by Susan W. Greene, has been chosen as the recipient of the 2015 Millia Davenport Publication Award sponsored by the Costume Society of America.

This year the Davenport Award Committee had a particularly strong field of nine short-listed books representing many aspects of dress scholarship. In commending Wearable Prints, the jurors noted that it was a well written and well researched publication. They praised its comprehensive and technical approach to the subject.  A number of jurors mentioned the excellent use and quality of the images. In sum, the jurors considered the book a notable accomplishment worthy of the Millia Davenport Publication Award.

Congratulations to The Kent State University Press and to Susan Greene for this outstanding example of scholarship.
